Houserules

These house rules indicate how we would like you to handle the holiday home and its inventory. We have established a few rules and hope that you can agree with them. By following these rules, you help us provide the best possible service to you and other guests in the future. These house rules are intended to ensure you have a pleasant and trouble-free stay.

Please adhere to the following house rules. We wish you a pleasant stay!

Waste Glass, paper, and residual waste should be collected separately. There are bins for sorted waste in the kitchen. Please do not place full garbage bags in the garden or shed as this attracts pests. Near the park entrance, there are large containers where you can dispose of your waste. Please take your waste with you upon departure and dispose of it. The cleaning staff charges us extra costs (€5 per bag) for full waste bins, which we pass on to the tenant.

BBQ Grilling is only permitted with an electric BBQ due to fire hazards. There is no BBQ provided, so please bring your own if you wish to grill.

Noise The motto of the holiday park ‘t Giethmenseveld is nature, trainquility, and privacy. We ask you to respect this by not playing loud music and being quiet outside between 10:00 PM and 10:00 AM.

Wood Stove There is a wood stove in the living room and garden. If you want to use it, please bring your own (kindling) wood and fire starters. The wood in the garden is for private use. Do not use paper!! Instructions are available in the house. Firewood can also be purchased at Karwei in Ommen.

Pets A maximum of 1 dog is allowed. Other animals are not permitted. Please inform us in advance. We charge €15 per stay, regardless of the number of nights. For hygiene reasons, the dog is not allowed on the sofa or bed. The garden is not a toilet area! Please clean up all of your dog’s waste in the garden, park, and natural areas.

Dogs must be kept on a leash at all times within the park. Dogs are not allowed in the swimming pool, playground, or other public facilities in the park. There are 2 food bowls available. 50 meters behind the house starts the designated dog walking area where dogs can run off-leash.

Charging Station Charging electric cars is NOT possible at the holiday home and strictly forbidden. The meter box is not suitable for charging electric cars and can cause damage or fire! The nearest option is at Camping Bergzicht, about 2 km away. Camping Bergzicht has public charging stations at the reception.

Damage Damage? Please inform us as soon as possible if you are missing any items from the inventory. No one will intentionally damage anything in the house. However, accidents can happen. We appreciate it if you report any damage promptly so we do not discover it only after your departure. The house is checked for defects and missing items before new guests arrive, as they also deserve a comfortable stay. Tenants are responsible for damage caused by themselves, co-tenants, or guests. Costs for such damage will be deducted from the security deposit. If everything is in order, we will refund the remaining deposit to you.

The owner is not responsible for accidents inside or outside the holiday home. The tenant is responsible for any loss and/or damage to the holiday home, garden, and furnishings (inside and out) resulting from the actions or negligence of themselves or third parties who are in the house with their permission.

Toilet Only toilet paper should be flushed down the toilet (so no wet wipes!). For everything else, there is a trash can provided. This prevents blockages. Any costs for resolving blockages due to improper use of the toilet will be charged to the tenant.

Garden We have provided comfortable garden furniture outside. Please do not move indoor furniture outside. You are welcome to eat outside and use the dishes and cutlery. Please respect the planting in the garden. Do not make any fires in the garden.

Water, Gas, and Electricity Please be mindful of these resources. We are also affected by high energy prices. Do not shower too long, do not leave faucets running unnecessarily, lower the heating when you leave, and do not leave lights on in rooms you are not in. This way, we can keep energy costs down and make staying in Oosterhaard affordable for everyone. Remember to carefully close doors and windows when you leave the holiday home temporarily or upon departure.

Lost Keys In case of loss of house or bike keys, we charge €25 per key.
